The CEA’s Pavilion – the voice of the UK at Intermat 2015

The CEA in conjuction with UKTI has succesfully organised a ‘high impact’ UK Pavilion at the forthcoming Intermat exhibition which takes place in Paris from 20th – 25th April this year. The dedicated Pavilion will feature 19 UK exhibitors comprising construction companies, industry suppliers and UK associations.
Intermat is a leviathan of an exhibition which in 2012 attracted over 1,350 exhibitors from around the world and where the smaller exhibitor might otherwise get lost in the show’s enormity without the umbrella of a high profile area devoted to UK industry. The CEA has taken the strain out of exhibiting at a show of this size and offers exhibitors a cost effective fully managed, fitted turnkey shell scheme stand freeing up exhibitors to do what they do best – selling!
Joanna Oliver MBE, director of Global Programmes at the CEA and organiser of the UK Pavilion at Intermat said, “It’s great that we are able to help so many UK companies at Intermat. Even better that we can do it with the support of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) both for exhibitors and for the CEA to run the UK Pavilion and generic UK Information Centre to promote UK Construction equipment. Some of the Pavilion exhibitors are pretty new to export and some old hands – that’s part of what makes the UK Pavilions a success for the exhibitors – everyone is willing to share experiences, export tips and contacts and lend each other a hand where needed.
This year we are working with UKTI to promote the UK Exhibitors at Intermat and to run a meet the buyer programme of meetings with Intermat visitors from target markets.
In the next 12 months the CEA will run UK Pavilions at Intermat, Exponor (Antofagasta, Chile) Bauma Africa (Johannesburg), South Africa, Conexpo Latin America (Santiago, Chile) and Bauma. Come and visit us on the CEA UK Information Centre in Hall 6.”

What’s New from CEA member companies at Intermat?

Ground-Guards will use Intermat to launch their all-new MaxiTrack temporary roadway system.
This new addition to their well proven range of plastic ground protection systems combines extra heavy duty strength, with a special lightweight design that enables them to still be easily man-handled.
Although at just 42kg each the Maxi Track panels weigh very little more than standard the Ground-Guards panels, they are actually twice as thick and three times as rigid. Overlapping flange joints enable the system to bolt together to make highly supportive temporary roadways, car parks or site compounds.
A unique new tread pattern provides excellent traction for vehicles and assists easy cleaning between uses.
A full range of modular accessories includes corner panels and clip-on safety barriers, making it a uniquely comprehensive system which is ideal for civil engineering, utilities and construction contractors. It will also prove popular with plant rental companies.
Marcus Oliver, Ground-Guards marketing team leader said, “As this is our first time for exhibiting at Intermat, to have the support of UKTI, and the excellent location at the front of Hall 6, is ideal for us.”
Sensor specialists, Fozmula, have announced that they will be launching a new range of liquid level sensors at Intermat. These capacitance type liquid level sensors have integrated fuel feed and return pipes, continuing the company’s theme of developing value added products that reduce costs and complexity for customers.

The new sensors feature Fozmula’s proven capacitance technology enabling them to provide a continuous output of fuel level without having any moving parts such as floats or swinging arms.  As a result they deliver improved accuracy and reliability when compared to the mechanical alternatives.
A custom built demonstrator will enable visitors to Fozmula’s stand, to see the sensors in action.
Fozmula’s sales director, Paul Holtby, remarked “These new sensors join a superb range of class leading products which will be of great interest to designers, engineers and buyers from across the world”.
Fozmula is also hoping to launch its new extended temperature range oil level sensor, the T/LL400.  This is a capacitance type (no moving parts) sensor is capable of maintaining accurate oil level sensing (±2%) between -40 °C and +125 °C.

Also launching at the show is the new VAF-200C portable ventilator. Miniveyor say it’s ideal for confined space ventilation and fume extraction and benefits from a, simple to attach, Duct Canister that neatly clips onto the fan body and houses 7.5 metres of flexible duct. It’s also good for contractors that have limited storage space in service vehicles and can be carried to the job site with ease.
Darracq Shawe, Miniveyor director said, “Miniveyor’s presence on the UK Pavilion at INTERMAT 2015 with the CEA/UKTi group follows on from the success at previous shows under the CEA/UKTi umbrella.’

Plantworx 2015 will be exhibiting in the UK Pavilion – the show will be the ONLY working construction machinery show in the UK calendar in 2015!
Plantworx
For visitors who want to see construction plant and machinery demonstrated in as near as possible realistic working conditions, as opposed to simply static displays, Plantworx is the show to attend. It has the largest assembly of plant, tools, equipment and accessories available in one place in the UK – making it the premier event for the construction equipment industry.
Plantworx
The 2nd Plantworx construction equipment exhibition, hosted by the CEA (Construction Equipment Association) is taking place from 2nd to 4th June 2015 at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, Leicestershire, UK.
The UK’s largest ‘working’ construction event has at last count 220 exhibitors committed to the show and of these more than 80 will be exhibiting at the event for the very first time. In terms of size the 2015 show has already exceeded the 2013 exhibition and with five more months before the event the Plantworx team is expecting the show to be a ‘sell out’ and is already over 80% sold.

Prolec has developed PME (Prolec Machine Engine) to capture machine data, position and load in one package. PME brings Prolec’s experience in sensor technology and safety systems to a platform designed to hold all machine data in one easily installed unit.
PROLEC PME
PME has been designed for use in construction plant for any application requiring safety, monitoring, control or guidance. PME represents a significant departure from traditional systems – it is a modular, integrated system that controls both safety and efficiency functions, previously managed separately, in one simple to install and calibrate system.
Currently, many solutions are application or task specific. In contrast, PME takes machine data and makes it generic regardless of the task required, allowing much more freedom in installation and operation of machines. This means real flexibility, simple installation and set-up, and a defined upgrade path from simple to complex machine safety and guidance solutions. Upgrades are largely software-based, so there is limited upgrade hardware needed.
