Over 32,000 trade professionals visited Komatek 2015 many with the specific intention to view, compare and procure items of machinery and equipment on display. With initial figures indicating an impressive 300% increase in the level of international buyer attendance, it highlights Komatek is now established as an event serving the wider region and not just Turkey’s robust domestic market. Early feedback from exhibitors has confirmed the high quality of the audience with future orders worth many millions of US$ expected to be signed as a result of their participation at the show.
Commenting on the success of Komatek 2015, Mr. Levent Baykal, CEO of the organiser SADA Uzmanlik Fuarlari, said “Komatek is not only one of the world’s largest such events but also one of the fastest growing and this year’s event is a clear demonstration of the international construction industry’s confidence in future opportunities across the region.” He went onto say “Currently the major restriction on Komatek’s future growth is the lack of suitable venue space in Ankara but there are positive signs that this will be rectified before the next edition which will take place in May 2017.”
