TRUXPO – Western Canada’s Largest Trucking Show Opens THIS FRIDAY!

Abbotsford, BC – TRUXPO is the event where industry meets, attracting local, national and international exhibitors and visitors and showcasing the latest in commercial trucking, logistics and transportation equipment. Presented in partnership with the British Columbia Trucking Association (BCTA), the show takes place this Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th at TRADEX in Abbotsford.
Hailed as Western Canada’s largest trucking show, TRUXPO will take over the entire TRADEX complex, plus 80,000 square feet of outdoor exhibit space. Not only will this year’s edition have hundreds of booths with thousands of products and every major manufacturer represented, but it will be a true family affair, with tons of exciting entertainment and special offerings.
TRUXPO opens at 12 noon on Friday, immediately following the BCTA Sector Update Conference, which focuses on the future of British Columbia’s economy with updates from key personnel in sectors such as mining, construction, intermodal shipping, forestry, and oil and gas. The TRUXPO Industry Luncheon – featuring special keynote speaker Michael “Pinball” Clemons, former CFL all-star running back, Grey Cup winning coach, President & CEO, and now the Vice-Chair for the Toronto Argonauts football team – also begins at noon.
With tons of exciting features for the trucking family, including:

  • A professionally organized and judged Show & Shine, taking place throughout the weekend and sponsored by Pro-Trucker Magazine.
  • A chance to see the Optimus Prime truck from the Transformers 4 movie, which will be parked at the Western Star booth.

  • Industry seminars, a BBQ hosted by Summit Trailers, and the popular Recruiting Here and Ride & Drive features will also return for 2014.
  • Performances by international superstars DJ Sanj, billed as the most sought-after Desi producer and DJ in the world, and Jay Status, one of the hottest live acts on the Punjabi music scene.
  • Performances by VanCity Bhangra, an award-winning Punjabi folk dance ensemble and one of Metro Vancouver’s most popular dance troupes!
  • Performances by Rob Herrett, providing acoustic tunes throughout the event on Saturday.

While you’re there, don’t miss the Pacific Heavy Equipment Show right next door, co-located on the TRADEX lots. It welcomes equipment owners, operators and purchasers representing general construction, trucking, public works, utilities, aggregate production, road building and maintenance from across western Canada to see, demo and purchase the equipment and services they will need to sustain their operations into the future.
