As 2018 draws to a close there are still some good opportunities for you to attend construction machinery trade fairs, and Africa is the place to be. The following 5 trade fairs are coming up in November and December, so take a look and see if you would like to book.
 

  •  Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania: 1-3 November 2018

21st BUILDEXPO Africa 2018
Tanzania has become a major trade centre and this annual event is the largest of its kind in the country. The International Trade Expo on Building and Construction Products, Equipment and Machinery is renowned throughout East and Central Africa. There will be over 200 exhibitors, coming from more than 30 different countries. If you were there last year, you will notice the increased size of the venue this year. In fact, with over 10,000 square meters of exhibition space (60% more than last year) there is ample place for exhibitors to display their machinery and equipment.
The venue is the Diamond Jubilee Expo Centre which is ideally situated and is easily accessible within Dar-es-Salaam. The city lives up to its name which means “residence of peace” with a friendly atmosphere where foreign investors and products are welcomed.   • Nairobi, Kenya: 7-9 November 2018

The Big 5 Construct East Africa Nairobi
This is the third annual edition of The Big 5 Construct East Africa and it will be held at the KICC (Kenyatta International Conference Center) in Nairobi. This is Kenya’s largest construction event, with more than 220 exhibitors from 22 countries, and 40 free CPD certified workshops on offer. Over 7000 professionals have registered for free entry.
At this event you can look forward to hands-on demonstrations of the latest products, machinery and equipment. This will be an opportunity for international suppliers and manufacturers to connect and network with thousands of professionals from all avenues of the construction and building industry, including architects, engineers, builders and contractors. There is also a new feature at this year’s expo, namely ‘Women in Construction’.
 

  • Algiers. Algeria: 21-25 November 2018

SITP (Salon International des Travaux Publics) Algiers
This is the 16th annual International Trade Fair for Public Works and Construction Machinery in Algiers. Over the years this has become the most important exhibition of public works and construction in Algeria. This trade fair promises to be a valuable international platform for the construction and maintenance industry. Given the stability of economic conditions in the country, Algeria’s government is planning major investments in various infrastructure projects such as the Trans-Sahara Highway, and modernization of ports and airports.
This is a golden opportunity to meet exhibitors from all over the world and see the latest products and machinery in the construction field. A few of these include loaders, excavators, bulldozers, compactors, construction pumps and much more. The exhibition will take place at the Palais des Expositions / Safex Expo Center which is beautifully situated close to the shores of the Mediterranean.   • Casablanca, Morocco: 21-25 November 2018

This will be the 17th edition of the International Fair of Building in Casablanca. The building and public works sector in Morocco has seen an upsurge in the past few years, to the extent of surpassing other sectors for investments. This is the second edition of Buildexpo Rwanda, showcasing a wide range of the latest technology in building and construction machinery, vehicles and equipment. The event will be hosted at the magnificent Kigali Convention Center which is one of the most costly and contemporary buildings in Africa.
The construction sector is at the forefront of Rwanda’s rapidly growing economy and the government has increased its investment in construction projects and the expansion of the infrastructure. This expo promises to be pivotal in terms of global investment opportunities. There will be exhibitors from around 28 countries, and a myriad of fine construction products, equipment and machinery.
