7 reasons not to miss the chance to be part of Exponor 2019

The international exhibition is taking shape as the most important mining event of 2019 and a milestone of the mining industry’s period of recovery. Here are some of the reasons why you and your business need to be at Exponor 2019.
A thousand exhibiting companies and business worth over US$800 million were the legacy of the last edition of Exponor, the business platform that brought a major injection of resources into an industry battered by the end of the copper price super-cycle. Now in its 18th edition, Exponor 2019 is set to mark the recovery of mining in Chile.
Over the four days of the show, from May 27th to 30th, Exponor will become the global driver of the mining industry, receiving ten international delegations, and a key meeting point for business with the presence of major mining and energy companies and their suppliers. With this in mind, we present the seven main reasons why you and your company need to be at 2019’s most important platform for international business.
1 Direct contact with the major mining companies
There are many different ways to make contact with mining companies, such as the business centres staffed by company executives from companies such as Codelco, the state company whose presence in the north of Chile is made up of the Chuquicamata, Radomiro Tomic, Ministro Hales and Gabriela Mistral divisions; BHP Escondida and Spence; Antofagasta Minerals (AMSA), which operates the mines Antucoya, Centinela and Zaldivar; Minera El Abra run by Freeport McMoRan; Teck – Quebrada Blanca; Goldcorp and Teck’s Nueva Unión; along with the non-metallic miners Albemarle and SQM.
2 Technical delegations to the show from mining companies
Mining industry executives, professionals, technicians and operators will visit Exponor and tour the exhibition in order to get to know the products, services, new technologies and innovations that exhibitors will be showcasing at the event, opening up chances to do new business.
3 Get a close-up look at Chile’s major mining operations: Site Visits
Taking place in the Region of Antofagasta, Exponor has the benefit of proximity to the most important mining operations in Chile. For this reason, the organizers offer exhibitors the chance to get a close-up look at the operational areas and challenges of the companies established in the region, and an opportunity to identify innovative solutions through technological development.
4 Face-to-Face Meetings
Helping exhibitors to take full advantage of their presence at Exponor, the show includes a program of Face-to-Face Meetings, a space for one-to-one meetings between suppliers and miners, with the chance to establish dialogues and offer products and services directly to the executives.
5 After-Office Networking
In parallel, the After-Office Networking events are a space for conversation between exhibitors and major mining groups, which will provide information on their supplier onboarding processes and procurement needs. There are also big opportunities for domestic companies to internationalize. After all, Exponor 2019 will have 12 international delegations, each with its own pavilion.
6 Innovation Zoom
Providing a digital platform for exhibitors to promote their innovation and technology, Innovation Zoom gives you the chance to enter an innovative product or service during the accreditation process, which will be listed on the Exponor website. These will be searchable by field and will form a systematized catalogue of technological initiatives.
7 Seminars, conferences and talks
Last but not least are the Technical Talks, a chance for exhibitors to share more detail on their latest technologies and innovations and to launch new products and services.
