CONEXPO Latin America Seminars announces format change

MILWAUKEE, WIS. (Sept. 23, 2016) – Due to ongoing economic challenges in the region, CONEXPO Latin America Seminars, originally slated as an in-person educational event from Oct. 10-11 in Lima, Peru, will pivot to an on-demand webinar format.
An on-demand virtual event will allow experts from across Latin America and worldwide to share their real-world experience and insights and provide new tools that can help increase productivity, reduce costs and enhance safety. The virtual seminars are an excellent opportunity for contractors across Latin America who have expressed interest in the event, to learn about topics to advance their business and prepare them for the next industry improvement – on their time, where they live and work, without having to travel to another city or country.
“CONEXPO Latin America is committed to the region and we strongly believe that governments in these countries are supporting long-term infrastructure investments, which is why we are steadfast in our desire to bring this information to the industry so that they can be prepared for the next economic upswing,” said Megan Tanel, senior vice president exhibitions and events at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
Prior to announcing the in person seminar, CONEXPO Latin America producer AEM worked directly with a cross-section of industry representatives to develop an industry-focused educational program to help advance contractor business.
The first virtual CONEXPO Latin America Seminar webcast will be noted futurist Derek Woodgate. Woodgate will provide a preview of future scenarios and development platforms for the construction industry, focused on the Latin American region. His talk will demonstrate how his vision could create a significant paradigm shift in how we conceptualize roads and buildings. The virtual event is planned to be available in mid-October in both Spanish and English.
The 2016 CONEXPO Latin America Seminars virtual program continues AEM’s commitment to bring the CONEXPO quality experience direct to the region, working with leading industry and business organizations across Latin America, to assure a focused platform for industry stakeholders to conveniently meet and share the latest innovations, technologies and best practices
