New Hyundai 1 tonne mini excavator premiers at Bauma 2019

Tessenderlo, Belgium – Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe (HCEE) launches its smallest mini excavator HX10A during Bauma 2019. The new HX10A is the ideal workmate in closed spaces or urban areas and completes the HX machine line up which ranges now from 1 tonne – 90 tonnes.
Small but perfect fit
The introduction of the new HX10A sees Hyundai enter the micro excavator market for the first time. With its slim design, the HX10A allows for easy transport and excellent access through doorways or operation in space confined areas. The mono-boom is mounted on a swing-post which allows the HX10A to dig close to a wall or across the entire width of the machine. This is particularly useful on small sites where it may not be easy to reposition the excavator. Its low operating weight of just 1,000 kg and its excellent lifting and breakout forces, make the one tonne mini excavator fit perfectly well for work in tight spaces, such as in gardening & landscaping, on construction sites in residential areas, for demolition and indoor work.
Smart micro power
The HX10A comes with significant benefits for the end-user, providing strong competition in the market sector of micro excavators. It is not only the ideal fit for tight and narrow job sites, but some smart features also make it your perfect work mate. The small machine comes standard-equipped with hydraulic hammer piping. The two-column foldable ROPS (Roll Over Protection System) bar makes it possible to easily enter buildings via a standard door. The boom cylinder is top-mounted to prevent potential damage and servicing of the machine goes quick and easy thanks to the convenient access to the engine. The variable undercarriage increases the stability whenever needed and the equally extendable dozer blade allows for grading over the full track width.

Future ready: Hyundai Twin Drive Concept for an emission-free operation
In addition to the existing Yanmar diesel engine, the compact excavator can as an option be operated electrically and emission-free, supplying the same performance characteristics. The Hyundai Twin Drive concept is an innovative solution for all applications with zero tolerance for noise and exhaust emission, working indoors and in sensitive areas, such as reconstruction and demolition work in hospitals, homes or commercial zones where operations are ongoing, inside of buildings or halls (including greenhouses) which cannot be contaminated with harmful emissions.
Commenting on the HX10A
Peter Sebold, Product Specialist at HCEE, comments: “The HX10A Mini Excavator represents a milestone for Hyundai Construction Equipment. It is the logic extension at the lower end of Hyundai’s product range. Coming as a new entrant to a challenging market, with a need for small but performing machines, the HX10A is tailor-made to fulfil a number of duties, where (small) size does matter!”
