NordBau 2018 Focuses on: "Digital Construction Site", as well as "Safe @ home" which is all about Security and SmartHome at Home.

(Neumünster) The 63rd edition of NordBau will take place in the Holstenhallen Neumünster from the 5th to 9th of September 2018 (in Neumünster) – the meeting place in the past six decades, for the construction industry and management in northern Europe!
The digital construction site – when construction networks go hand in hand
One of the main focuses of NordBau 2018 is the “Digital construction site”. After last year’s topic, “Digital Construction – to touch”, was positively received by many visitors and exhibitors, the focus this time is on the digital construction site, in the areas of road construction and civil engineering. Directly at the exhibition grounds for the construction machines, there are special simulation containers for trenchless construction and for those interested in asphalt construction, in order to test the operation of special equipment in simulation. The networking of planning data, machine technology and construction site illustrates the workflows of today and tomorrow. On the initiative of the North German Construction Associations, practical demonstrations that are available for professional exchange were organized by experts from the Bad-Zwischenahn Training and Education Center, as well as the Association of the Construction Industry, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (VDBUM).
Home Security and SmartHome are topics at a major special exhibition
The progressive digitization offers more and more comfort in housing technology: Heaters, lamps and sun blinds can be controlled via a smartphone app or mouse click on the computer. SmartHome is reaching more and more users; it’s not only popular in the property segment, but is also increasingly popular in the rental housing sector. Security in burglary protection, as well as home care, can be digitally supported. In order to inform people about the numerous technical possibilities, the reservations, as well as the necessary data and communication protection, this year NordBau focuses on the topic “safe @ home”: Property owners, tenants, housing companies, craftsmen, architects and civil engineers will find comprehensive information on their respective interests and occupational fields. For this purpose, you’ll find a central contact point in Hall 8, with neutral expert advice and new products from manufacturers and retailers. In addition to the partners, the State Police (Landespolizei) and the Ministry of Interior are also engaged in the special topic.
Everything under one roof
In addition, the NordBau 2018 will once again present the most important trends in the construction industry and, above all, new developments in the fields of construction machinery, building materials, building elements, as well as the energy and building service technology. The trade fair also offers an extensive seminar, conference and congress program for visitors, which, together with the popular meeting point “Construction Manager & Foremen”, provides important impulses for decision-makers, and the trade fair’s offers appropriately rounds off with the “nordjob-Bau-Infotag” for the recruitment
High-level Exchanges
This is exactly what distinguishes NordBau as Northern Europe’s compact trade fair for construction: For many decades now, it has since become a platform for builders, planners, architects and craftsmen, who want to meet, communicate and exchange ideas at transnational level.
Figures, dates and facts
Last year, NordBau once again impressively demonstrated its strength and position as the most important construction fair in northern Germany and the entire Baltic Sea region, on an area of about 69,000 square meters and over 20,000 square meters of hall space: 849 exhibitors from 15 countries informed about 66,000 visitors on the new trends in the construction industry. A total of 4,300 conference participants attended the 50 symposia. Two-thirds of the conferences are recognized by the Chamber of Architects and Engineers as an official further training event. Via NordBau, exhibitors have since 1956 been able to reach trade visitors who visit the trade fair for professional reasons, as well as interested end customers (public and private builders). The fair is thus very appealing for all those interested in construction, as well as those working in the construction industry. In addition, NordBau has, for over 40 years been cooperating with the partner country, Denmark, which sees the trade fair as the basis for the German and European markets.
